When setting up a franchise business, keep in mind that this involves certain expenses. So before you start with this kind of business, make sure you are equipped with enough funds that can cover costs for deposits, inventory, location rental expenses, equipment maintenance, and employee salaries.
Deposits, inventory, and business location
As a franchisee, you have to pay your franchisor a certain amount of cash to serve as the franchise free. Some franchisors also require a franchisee to pay a deposit amount that can cover ongoing expenses that may not be covered by your revenue. As for the inventory, you need to re-stock your supplies when needed and you may have to hire someone who'll do the actual inventory. As for the location-related expenses, you need to have enough funds to cover the rent, and interior decorating orlandscaping costs.
Equipment and salary of employees
Whether you have a fast food chain or a retail clothing store as a franchise business, you need funds for seating, fixture, and equipment maintenance or repair. You would also need to have enough financial resources to cover your employees' salaries and benefits.
A franchise business can cost from thousands of dollars to millions of bucks. Although the cost of a franchise depends on different factors such as industry type and franchisor requirements, having enough funds to cover basic expenses such as franchise free, rent, and employee salaries is very important. This is why aside from the franchise fee, franchisors usually ask for proof of financial stability or net worth and a set of unborrowed funds from the aspiring franchisee.

Vending franchises are the perfect business opportunities for you if you want to have your own business that requires minimal overhead expenses. Today, vending machines offer a variety of ready-to-consume products such as candies, bottled water, energy drinks, and snacks. You can even install gaming machines in different locations such as night clubs, local bars, and pool halls.
Choosing a good location for your business
Before you start with a franchise business, you have to find a good location first for your vending machine. The location is a key factor in the success of your business. After all, how will you be able to earn money if your vending machine is placed in a location that doesn't attract too many customers? Good locations for a vending franchise are bus or train stops, since these have high traffic.
Considering the operation costs
One of the benefits of having a vending franchise is that you won't have to deal with expensive overhead costs. However, this type of business will still require you to shell out money for the franchise fee and for machine maintenance and repair. Although the cost will depend on the type of product you sell and the franchising company, this is more affordable compared to other types of businesses, such as having a restaurant or a retail clothing store.
Vending franchises are good business opportunities that offer several benefits. However, just like any type of business, there are many factors you have to consider first before starting this kind of endeavour. With enough determination, patience, and a good sense of business skills however, you'll be able to earn money through your vending franchise.

Business franchising is a popular way to enter entrepreneurship. It is the common form of business since it is based on an established idea. However, like other ventures, it has its risks. Read on to understand business franchising more.
Advantages of franchising
Franchising has the least risk of all business ventures. Since you are profiting from a tried and tested idea, you will make money faster compared to those establishing new business ideas. Independent businesses usually have an 80 percent chance of not surviving, while franchises have an 80 percent chance of actually making it. If you purchase a franchise known throughout the nation, you’ll definitely hit the gold mine.
Disadvantages of franchising business
Unfortunately, there is no freedom in running a franchise. It must be done according to the original company’s ideas so it doesn’t really have your touch. You must also consider you’ll be paying a certain percentage of the business revenue to the franchisor. Those without the right amount money should know that buying a franchise is very, very expensive. A good chunk of your savings will be gone.
Business franchise’s disadvantages do not necessarily outweigh the advantages. If you are ready to enter into a franchise and have the experience of running a business, the investment will be worth it.

When given franchise opportunities from well-known brands or companies, it is recommended that you grab them. Of course, you should prep yourself up with the right kind of attitude and the right amount of capital. Subway offers a proven track record that will suit newbie entrepreneurs. The company was established in 1965 though the name Subway came around nine years later. It has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as the top American franchise for 13 out of the most recent years.
Subway: 2009 stats leading franchise opportunities
Subway ranks second in Entrepreneur’s fast-growing franchises in 2009. The franchise is available in 87 countries. So, Subway has a total of about 30,000 locations and growing. You have to invest a minimum of $100,000 on the franchise.
The benefits of owning a Subway franchise
Because the name "Subway" is well-known worldwide as the top sandwich franchise, you will be working with a stable company. You will be trained well to manage your own Subway franchise, preparing you for future business ventures.
If you can afford to shell out $100,000 today, invest in a Subway franchise. However, make sure you do not put up your branch near another Subway. The brand is, after all, very popular.

You may have access to a myriad of franchise opportunities but if you are not ready to manage a business, you may as well wait it out. Here are some of the questions you can ask yourself before pursuing the venture.
Are you emotionally ready to manage a franchise?
A business, such as a franchise, requires you to be emotionally tough. You cannot just buy a franchise and leave it to flourish or fail on its own. You need to be actively involved into the different processes involved. Managing a franchise needs constant monitoring. You cannot just throw a tantrum if something goes wrong: you have to make decisions that could steer the situation into another direction.
Do you have enough capital?
You cannot own a franchise when you do not even have enough money to buy one. The cost of the franchise itself is not the only item that should be covered by the capital. You also need money to make the business flow.
Do you have leadership skills?
When managing a business, you need to make important decisions. You also need to tell people what to do in more ways than one. This means that you can either give employees orders, or lead by example.
So, do you think you are ready to own a franchise? Take time to ponder.

Franchise opportunities are popping up left and right. Business owners want to sell the right to use their name to would-be franchisees. With so many franchise opportunities out there, you should narrow down your prospects based on the following:
Company or brand stability
You are aiming to be a franchisee because you want to sell goods or services that have been proven by the market. So, you should go for franchises coming from stable companies. A franchise is considered strong when the brand name is established.
High quality training assistance
Providers of franchise opportunities should recognize that several franchisees are very new to the world of business. You, as a franchisee, should be given assistance when it comes to starting out. After all, you would not want to just have the right to the name but also the ability to produce high quality goods and services.
Marketing and advertising assistance
The company should also help you with marketing. One way it can do that is to include your franchise in the roster of company-owned and franchised branches.

When I was working as a writer for more than fifteen years, I've realized that I don't want to work with other people and have a tyrant boss. This realization prompted me to try venturing in franchise business. At first, I wanted to avail food franchise of my favorite French restaurant, but I changed my mind in the end. I know food is a stable business, but I want to venture to other businesses aside from food. And besides, a lot of people these days are also into food franchise. How can I compete with that?
Earlier this morning, my friend who purchased a food franchise informed me that there's an opening for Club 50 Fitness Center franchise today. After my friend said this, a light bulb lighted in my head. I wanted to avail a franchise for Club 50 Fitness Center. I've realized that people's health is a good and stable business. I know a lot of people who are into excercise and work-out these days. I also believe that many people are striving to lose weight, turn their flabs to muscles, and keep a healthy lifestyle today that's why fitness centers are good business.
As a franchisee for Club 50 Fitness Center, you will enjoy a lot of benefits and profits. First of all, they will give me a training to equip me with the necessary information regarding the business. They would also give me a territory that I could use to start my franchise. The good thing about this franchise is that they give continuous support while you're a franchisee. Aside from assistance and aid, they will also be the one to provide marketing ads and gym equipments. After learning about the benefits of Club 50 Fitness Center franchisee, I made up my mind to join it.

Experience, referral, and equity: I've heard them too much in the franchising business. So many franchisees are out to seek counsel concerning their new endeavor. The number of things to consider may frustrate the franchisee, but if the goals are straightforward and the franchisee is really fed up with being employed in another company, then the franchise will pull through. These criteria I've mentioned will play a role in the future of a business.

Don, the franchisee I've known who's into managing internet cafes, was the guy who told me if I plan to buy a franchise, I really don't have to look elsewhere for financing. The two criteria come into play here: Equity and referral. The franchisor most likely knows which banks can provide equity loans for me, and can refer me there. The franchisor may also be already be equipped with real estate property that can be leased in order to facilitate the purchase and set-up of the franchise.
Saturday, May 12. 2007
Perhaps I should have mentioned first that often, the success of an business equity loan depends on the knowledge of the franchisee. Don had been employed as a manager in his old company and has also worked as an accountant. His valuable experience has enabled him to pass the critical eye of the bank when it comes to loans and collaterals. If you don't have a business or managerial experience, and the bank somehow sees this as a reason to refuse your loan, then have someone back you up financially, to assure the bank that it will not stand on the losing side when your franchise goes to the dogs.

If you're a couch potato or a homebody, you can stil make money without lifting any fingers via Win Home Inspector. My mother is a member of Win, an organization that provides the necessary training, guidance, and techonlogies for people who are interested in the home inspection business. If you avail their home inspection franchise, then you'll become a strategic planner like my mother. This means to say that you're not only a passive member but an active participant who contributes in the development of home inspection.
Thursday, May 10. 2007
Recently, I became hooked with the news and I found out that home inspection is a good busines in North America these days. Now I understand why my mother joined Win Home Inspection. It's stable and solid business. My mother often boasts about how big her earnings as a strategic planner is. She keeps on comparing her salary with my hard insurance investigator job. Due to her mockery and interest in the industry, I decided to become a strategic planner myself. Before I entered any transactions with Home Inspection, I decided to investigate the company. Based from my research, it is one of the best in the industry that provides excellent services.
Wednesday, May 9. 2007
I admit it. I don't have any clue whatsoever regarding home inspection industry. Hell, I didn't know that such term existed. I'm afraid to enter Win Home Inspection because of lack of knowledge on the industry as well as lack of confidence with myself. But Win guided me all the way from day one up to the present. They give trainings and information on how to set-up my own franchise and continually do check-ups on my franchise to see it's status. If I have questions, I can easily contact them via email or phone. They're always available for my inquiries. If you want to belong to the home inspection industry, I suggest you choose Win.

My aunt wants to franchise any business that she thinks is suitable in today's ever changing economy. The problem is, she doesn't know which place to inquire and ask about franchise and it's underlying information. While having lunch at a simple diner, my friend suddenly blurted out that food is a solid investment. She said that food business will flourish since every one eats food. Unlike other businesses like cars, jewelries and clothings, they are seasonal because people don't need those stuff everyday. Then she told me to that she wants to set up a small restaurant in the city. I told her that it's not a good idea because there are many things that you have to do. Establishing a restaurant requires big capital no matter how small it is. But my friend was stubborn. She insisted in availing of that franchise of a stable restaurant online to make sure that her dream Spanish Ham restaurant would come true.

I read an article online stating that it's better to avail of a Food delivery franchise than franchising a food establishment. The author of the article argues that in food delivery you can deliver any food from various restaurants. He says that more and more restaurants are closing down because of the lack of customers. The lack of customers is not solely because of the services and features of the restaurant alone, but of the ever-changing palate of the people. This is why there's a high risk of food franchise going bankrupt rather than food delivery.
Thursday, May 3. 2007
Food delivery costs less as opposed to availing of a food establishment franchise. It allows more room to move and you can earn big bucks. It's better to avail a food delivery franchise from franchiseadvantage.com, which offers low cost sales strategies that will make your name a sure hit in the food delivery world. It has connections with stable restaurants like Quizno’s, C.B. Potts, Pizzeria Uno, Marie Callender’s, and Tony Roma’s. The great offering by franchiseadvantage.com is that it gives you guidance and equips you with information regarding the business that you're about to enter so that you can decide whether to say yes or no in their franchise programs.
Wednesday, May 2. 2007
It's funny the way a lot of franchiser-wannabes become so passionate about their particular service or product that they end up getting bankrupt. Don't get me wrong - passion is one of the reasons why people succeed in franchising. I know a friend who actually franchised Mrs Fields because she loved the smell of cookies and muffins. Years later, she confessed that she still loved the muffins, but no longer the thought of underprofiting.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
"Whatever happened to the passion for sugarbreads? Or the adoration of marble floors? The love for picture books?" Franchising isn't all about the service or the product. This is such a huge misconception. I've never been a guru but it's a lot like taking a counseling session back in high school. You talk to someone in your school who can give you advice on your future career. She'll ask you what you really love to do - but that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to take that unprofitable career course. No way - or you end up driving on the wrong side of the road.
Monday, April 30. 2007
Franchising always asks for a particular skill, and of course, passion. This time, it's not exactly about what you sell, but how much your profits will be and how long it will take before you can reach them. For example, who loves hog feed anyway? Do you really need to go gaga about umbrellas in order to sell them well? In reality, it is your zeal for your goals and your appropriate skills that will make you succeed in franchising. The first step in recognizing this is to undergo a franchise consultation.

Ubisoft is one biggest-selling video games software publisher in the world. Each time a new game comes out, there is always a need for gaming franchisers to include the game in their catalog. In fact, even Ubisoft has announced acquisitions for new franchises from other game makers such as Atari Inc. Lately, Ubisoft has acquired intellectual property rights for "Driver" franchise, another sign of the expanding list of games coming out in the future.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Ubisoft owns franchises for almost all Microsoft Xbox games, including my favorites the "Prince of Persia" and "Haze". If not for their desire to develop video games masterfully, the industry wouldn't be so successful at selling franchises. Last year alone, Ubisoft generated some 547M euros. Basically, it's not just being able to produce the right kind of game that targets an animated universe of video game lovers. It's also about business savvy. Ubisoft offers unique franchise package which fulfills the criteria of "franchisable" business.
Friday, April 27. 2007
To sell the franchise, it would have to be unique. Then, of course, it must have state-of-the-art technology and operations and profitable ROI. Ubisoft is a frontliner and therefore it doesn't hesitate to acquire or sell new franchises. The marketing plan has roots on the confidence of game quality. Have you touched your Xbox console lately? Ubisoft is able to sell franchises well because it already has a steady stream of clients, from the game fans to the technology developers. These are the first considerations in selling a franchise.
